Be your own change agentExternal influences impact people and organisations in unexpected ways. Often it is tempting to outsource problems to 'experts' rather than trust your own abilities to find solutions. Coaching can help you take advantage of change and the unexpected. A coaching conversation gives you time to reflect, revisit assumptions and ultimately make better informed decisions. You may discover unexpected opportunities for growth - personally and professionally. You will gain:
Coaching for organisationsFor employers coaching represents a commitment to the employee as an individual. Regular coaching can help maintain performance over the long term and identify sources of stress early. Down time can be reduced and business risk more effectively managed. Individuals receive direct feedback during a coaching conversation. One-to-one & one-off interventions can be tailored to specific change events, such as promotion, return to work, restructuring etc What is a coaching conversation?I practise from a humanistic foundation, meaning each conversation is free of preconceptions. With a fresh and enquiring mind I aim to encourage creative and intuitive thinking. My responses are based on my direct experience of you, the client. Coaching can help:
If coaching doesn't meet your needs, or if you require specialist support I would advise you of this. It remains your responsibility to seek out specialist services or contacts. ProfileKavita spent over 10 years working in blue chip, start up and academic environments, mainly in consultative roles. She managed multi-partner initiatives and technology development projects involving change & restructuring. Kavita has delivered participative workshops for professional audiences and mentored individuals starting new businesses. An interest in social psychology and people's dependence on networks led to the idea of coaching for innovation. Analysis of emergent patterns in explicit & implicit interventions showed that hidden resource drains, shadow networks and a heightened fear of the unknown were obstructive during times of change. Kavita believes coaching helps an individual engage in an internal creative process for successful outcomes. Born in Scotland, Kavita holds a PhD from the University of Southampton and a BEng from the University of Glasgow.
She now lives in Kent, her other interests include photography, writing, reading, cue sports & the outdoors.
