Variety of Experience

• Being involved with cue sports as a leisure activity I saw an opportunity to build a 'profit with purpose' enterprise. In spite of aggressive opposition I prototyped projects as building blocks: social media @SnookerKent, self-coaching techniques, innovative event formats, strategic local focus, product design for retail, promotion of social & health benefits... An investor/partner is sought to consolidate, commercialise & develop the enterprise (current)
  
  
• Working remotely with a Swedish NGO I identified new channels for their products as well as new concepts based on their strategic objectives. I Established connections to existing premium brands aligned with the 'Profit With Purpose' ethos and leveraged marketing & revenue potential for the NGO (2020)
  
  
• Based in a regional sales office I sought to build a sustainable leads pipeline and improve conversion rates. I developed marketing materials and new ways to target customers. A scalable core team was proposed to meet targets and pay revised to optimise cost/lead (2020)
  
  
• Preparation and submission of legal bundles in a 'kidnap by fraud' case. Court orders, welfare reports, psychological profiles, financial analyses and impact statements were prepared. Research was conducted into historic abuse cases, youth radicalisation and abuse of authority for commercial gain by third parties. It was found that military style surveillance and policing methods were applied in civilian contexts to extract information, create paranoia and control interactions, even within the family unit. It is suspected that identity theft and intercept of communications were used with intent to cause serious harm.
  
  The materials were rejected on the grounds that they were in the wrong format, I was not asked to produce them, there was no obligation for them to be considered, and I did not hold a legal qualification.
  
  
• Input on several healthcare projects including development of patient centred services, interviewing of clinical and non-clinical candidates, and assessment of survey data.

• Study of stagnant organisations to develop a deeper understanding of why innovation is so difficult. Through observation and direct engagement an analysis of emergent patterns in explicit and implicit interventions shows that barriers to progress include unproductive resource drains, complex shadow networks and an exaggerated fear of the unknown.
  
  
• Various coaching & mentoring assignments for private clients, not-for-profit, public sector and arts organisations.

• Survey of technology company CEOs on behalf of a high technology business incubator. The survey was co-designed with the client and the final report presented short and long term recommendations.

External stakeholder interviews were used to identify initiatives which were prioritised in terms of technical complexity and business impact and informed the creative and technical development phases. • Investor due diligence of a German biotech company covering technology viability, target markets, potential risks and competition, the company is now established in Europe and the US.
